Hands in Motion
Level: Art 2
Medium: Colored Pencils
Objective: Students learned how to draw hands using both contour line and full value. They made colored value scales by blending complementary colored pencils. Students created artworks that depict their hands in motion and reflect one of the following prompts:
Concrete: What do your hands come into contact with in your daily life? What is a typical day for your hands?
Conceptual: What are you reaching for in your life right now? Draw your hopes, dreams, desires, wishes, and/or goals.
Personal: Draw your favorite things! These items must be specific to you and only you, show me your personality.
